Hospital’s medical-surgical unit gaining traction
Thanks to donor generosity, Longs Peak Hospital recently acquired traction equipment used to reduce pain and realign fractures. The new equipment is known as Buck’s Traction and is used to help realign a fracture by applying weighted pressure on the extremity using a pulley system.

Your generosity helps save lives
Longs Peak Hospital joined a collaboration with Longmont United Hospital and the City of Longmont to launch Stop the Bleed trainings for teachers in the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD). Foundation supporters made it possible for us to contribute 140 Stop the Bleed kits, including 20 kits placed with trained teachers at six local high schools.

Expanded ICU opens at Longs Peak Hospital
Thanks to donor generosity, Longs Peak Hospital was able to speed up plans to expand its intensive care unit, as well as add state-of-the-art technology to better serve residents of Longmont and the surrounding area. Employee scholarship awards announced for 2020–21
Each year, donor generosity enables the foundation to award scholarships to UCHealth employees interested in furthering career-related skills. For our 2020–21 scholarship cycle, $37,000 was awarded to 26 recipients who work at Longs Peak Hospital and its affiliated clinics.
