At the event, the foundation recognized its Founders Society members—donors who made a charitable gift of $10,000 as Longs Peak Hospital was built and established. These individuals were presented with a model of the hospital, created by high school team Up-A-Creek Robotics as a community service project.
The generosity of Founders Society members and the involvement of the robotics students are vivid examples of the power of connection and community building. Those looking for ways to serve are coming together around, and because of, the hospital to invest in and contribute to the health and vibrancy of our community.
Another example of investment and contribution showcased during the celebration is employee scholarships. The foundation announced the recipients of its 2019–20 Employee Scholarship Program. These employees were recognized for their dedication to gaining new knowledge to continuously offer the best care to patients. This year, the generosity of our donors enabled the foundation to award $22,870 in scholarships to these 18 employees:
Ona Babiciute-Rojas | Lauren Brown | Jessica Clark | Jody DeStigter | Rene Dunne | Staci Eggen | Joanne Forster | Shannon Griffith | Jessica Gutierrez | Jessica Liberatore | Heather McRoy | Hanna Nelson | Zuzana Pavlik | Elizabeth Shaw | Teresa Smith | Alyssa Tucker |
